Christ died for us (Colossians 2:13, 1 John 2:2)

• We were spiritually dead to God and were all born into the kingdom of Satan (Ephesians 2:1-3, Colossians 1:13-14)
• We were slaves to sin (Romans 6:6, Romans 3:23)
• We could not save ourselves (Romans 3:30, Romans 5:12)

We died with Christ (Colossians 3:3, Romans 7:4, Romans 6:3)

• Our sin nature was crucified with Christ and we are no longer slaves to sin
• We died to the worldly way of getting our needs met 
• We died to the Law

When Christ was raised from the dead, we were also raised from being spiritually dead to being spiritually alive

• We became children of God (Galatians 3:26)
• We are united with Christ (Ephesians 1:11)
• We now have clean hearts (Ezekiel 36:26-27a)

The Spirit of Christ indwells every believer and will guide the believer moment by moment as he or she submits to His teaching (Galatians 5:25)

• Faith is the believer’s act of obedience
• We choose to believe what God says is true versus what we think, feel or experience in the world’s systems

The believer’s spirit is one with the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:17)

• We cannot get any closer to God (1 Corinthians 6:19)
• He has already given us everything we need for life, there is nothing else He can give us (Ephesians 1:3)

Spiritual warfare is Satan tempting the believer to employ the old methods of getting our needs met in a worldly way (Ephesians 6:10-12, 1 Peter 5:8)

• Sin no longer rules our spirit, soul and body; sin can only indwell the physical body of the believer (Romans 6:12)
• Renewal of our mind is the key to overcoming the temptation to sin (Romans 12:2)

The Christian life is 100% grace

• We are saved by grace (Ephesians 2:8-9)
• We are transformed by grace (Ephesians 1:17, 2 Peter 1:2)
• We live the Christian life by grace (2 Corinthians 12:9, Hebrews 4:16)
